State Insitute of Handicrafts

State Institute of Handicrafts has setup in the existing premises of the Experimental Workshop-CumResearch Institute by addition, alternation, renovation/ strengthening at Baruipur, South 24 Parganas for providing training, technology and design support to the handicrafts artisan/entrepreneurs and has been start functioning from 9th October, 2017.

• Total area of the Institute 32,600 sq. ft. (200 ft. x 163 ft.)
• Infrastructure : (i) One big work shed (ii) 2 Nos. Class Rooms (iii) One Library (iv) Separate Hostel for Ladies and Gents (v) One office room (vi) One store room (vii) One design centre (viii) Kitchen Room with dining space, Toilets Blocks. Car parking and garden etc.
